What is OST Security Training?
Are you looking for a job? Is English your second language? OST Security Training can help you find an entry-level security job by offering both English and job-specific workplace training.
Students receive language instruction combined with a job-specific training and receive a graduation certificate from TIES upon completion, making them eligible to write the Alberta Basic Security Provincial exam.
Topics include:
- Introduction to the Professional Security Industry
- The Canadian Legal System
- Basic Security Procedures
- Communication
- Documentation and Evidence
- Emergency Response Procedures
- Health and Safety
In addition to technical skills training, you will also receive a chance to meet employers for workshops, presentations, and mock interviews. Students also receive a FREE monthly bus pass while they are enrolled in class.
Is childcare available?
Students receive up to $500/month per child to purchase childcare services from a licensed facility while they are enrolled in class.
