Provides comprehensive and personalized services to clients currently receiving Employment Insurance benefits or for those who have received regular EI in the past 5 years.

Offers group-based employability skills training and job placement at a local non-profits, ethno-cultural organizations, private businesses, and educational institutes where students work and gain valuable Canadian experience while receiving a minimum wage benefit support.

Specifically designed to help adult immigrants who have low to non-literate language skills acquire the basic essentials required for learning English. Available to permanent residents, refugees, and Canadian Citizens.

Provides essential computer skills to literacy-level newcomer and Canadian adults over 30 hours of training. Students learn basic computer operation, use of email and basic social media, internet search, and more during 2 hour-and-a-half sessions each week.

Three different levels of classes (pre-basic, basic, and intermediate/advanced) designed for those who have to fit classes around family needs or work schedules and for those who are not eligible for LINC because of their immigration status.

Four levels of language literacy training (Foundation L, CLB 1L, CLB2L, CLB3L, CLB4L) for immigrants with limited, interrupted or no formal education and who are non-literate or semi-literate in their native tongue. For permanent residents and refugees.

This free English program is open to people who can’t attend regular LINC classes due to illness, disability, caretaking family members, or conflicting work schedule. Classes are offered online with weekly exercises and sessions over the phone and computer for CLB3-CLB8.

For students who are unable to attend daily in-class instruction, but can still commit to 1 in-class instruction per week, we offer this free English program to “blend” the benefits of in-class and online instruction.

Offered to CIES students exclusively, this certified program provides free daycare services to the children of parents who are attending IRCC-funded programs. Childminding is free of charge and facilitates the settlement of children who are new to Canada.
