Computer Access for Literacy Learners (CALL)

The Computer Access for Literacy Learners (CALL) program will support you to learn how to:

• Turn on a computer, a tablet, and smartphone
• Search the internet, by opening a new browser like Edge, Firefox, and Chrome
• Send and receive emails
• Take and share photos from your phone and or computer
• Learn basics of software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Schedule, start, and attend an online meeting through Zoom
• And many more!

Our instructors are trained to support you in effectively learning how to use computers, tablets, and a smartphone, to better prepare you for the ever-growing digital world. This program is 30 hours spread out over 7-10 weeks, which means you can take it at your own pace.

Our goal is to make you feel more confident with the daily tasks that require you to use a digital platform such as a computer, tablet, and smartphone!

Additional Eligibility

• Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB): 1L to 4L OR 1 to 4
• 18+ years of age and living in Calgary
• Have limited computer skills and English skills
