This week, we successfully launched our new name: The Immigrant Education Society (TIES)!
Thank you to all who attended our Launch Day and Open House on Tuesday, July 9, 2019. We welcomed TIES staff and board, family and friends, and community partners to our Whitehorn location for refreshments, networking and a short program.
It was an honour to have several politicians in attendance. Minister Jason Copping, MLA Jeremy Nixon, and a representative from the office of Counsellor Gian-Carlo Carra joined the celebration. We are thankful for their support, and the thoughtful remarks that they shared with us.
We have come a long way from our humble roots in Forest Lawn, with services being offered at 3 different TIES locations. As a result, the scope of our services now stretches across Canada through e-Learning and Research programs. Our new name reflects our continued growth, and a renewed commitment to empowering newcomers and Canadians.
