On November 19, 2019, the second instalment of our Newcomer Community Cookbook was launched at the Alex Community Food Centre in Calgary.
The special screening event showcased 9 brand new Newcomer Community Cookbook videos. The videos feature TIES students, staff and volunteers sharing traditional recipes from around the world!
Attendees at the launch were the first to see the videos, and even had the opportunity to enjoy the recipes shown, including Chicken Korma, Russian Salad, and Pork Belly Adobo. The food prep was made possible by the Alex Community Food Centre, and brought the community together to enjoy a feast of international flavours.
