Without the expertise and enegery, none of what we have accompished would have been possible. our instructorsOur qualified instructors offer instruction and develop lessons that enhance the students' cultural experience in Canada and equip them with the skills they need to be successful. our volunteersOver the past year the following volunteers have committed their time and energy to making CIES a success. We wish to thank each of these people for their contributions; we couldn't have done it without you. our sponsorsThe following organizations have been instrumental in making CIES the success it is today. CIES was established in 1988, based in a single office with the goal of providing Calgarians immigrants a solid foothold in Canada. Through hard work and generous contributions of time and resources, CIES now resides in a beautiful new 15000 square foot building with plenty of rooms to grow. CIES is a non-profit registered charity organization, with a small dedicated group of staff and volunteers educating hundreds of new Calgarian each month. CIES is governed by our Board of Directors, a group of devoted individuals from around the community who donate their time on a volunteer basis. Our funding comes from a combination of government and private funds. CIES could not exist without the generous support of our sponsors. CIES Board of Directors, staff, and students express their sincere appreciation to those who have contributed to the adornment of our mission.
